Responsibilities

  • Operate manual and robotic welding equipment according to blueprint instructions
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding based on job requirements
  • Set up robotic welding systems, including cleaning welding guns and replacing parts
  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, work orders, and welding instructions
  • Conduct quality inspections on welded parts to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Move cores and tanks using pallet jacks or chain hoists as required
  • Perform welds on additional components per blueprint specifications
  • Communicate with the test tank team regarding leaks, defects, and rework
  • Meet production quotas and standard cycle times
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on robotic welding machines
  • Maintain accurate production records and update performance tracking systems
  • Collaborate with welders across all shifts to meet productivity and quality goals
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Report equipment issues, defects, or safety concerns to supervisors immediately
  • Comply with all company policies and Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements

Requirements

  • Completion of a formal welding trade school, apprenticeship, or equivalent on-the-job training
  • Availability to work assigned shifts and overtime as required
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and work instructions
  • Familiarity with robotic welding systems and welding gun setup
  • Ability to read tape measures using the metric system
  • Regular and reliable physical attendance
