Responsibilities
- Operate manual and robotic welding equipment according to blueprint instructions
- Perform MIG and TIG welding based on job requirements
- Set up robotic welding systems, including cleaning welding guns and replacing parts
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, work orders, and welding instructions
- Conduct quality inspections on welded parts to ensure compliance with specifications
- Move cores and tanks using pallet jacks or chain hoists as required
- Perform welds on additional components per blueprint specifications
- Communicate with the test tank team regarding leaks, defects, and rework
- Meet production quotas and standard cycle times
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on robotic welding machines
- Maintain accurate production records and update performance tracking systems
- Collaborate with welders across all shifts to meet productivity and quality goals
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Report equipment issues, defects, or safety concerns to supervisors immediately
- Comply with all company policies and Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements
Requirements
- Completion of a formal welding trade school, apprenticeship, or equivalent on-the-job training
- Availability to work assigned shifts and overtime as required
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and work instructions
- Familiarity with robotic welding systems and welding gun setup
- Ability to read tape measures using the metric system
- Regular and reliable physical attendance
