Responsibilities for Welder:

The responsibilities for the job of Welders are as following.

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
  • Measuring and laying out components accurately
  • Performing manual and semi-automatic welding to join metals and materials
  • Setting up and aligning components using tools like calipers and rulers
  • Testing and inspecting welded surfaces to ensure structural integrity
  • Repairing machinery and equipment as needed
  • Reporting any damages or equipment malfunctions
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Assisting in the installation of fire protection equipment on construction sites

Requirements for Welder:

The requirements for the job of Welders are as following.

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with calipers, rulers, clamps, and other precision tools
  • Ability to detect flaws or defects in materials and welds
  • Familiarity with fire protection systems is an asset (but not required)
  • Physically fit and able to work in varied conditions (indoors and outdoors)

Skills and Knowledge Desired:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain – training support available)
  • Willing to relocate (relocation costs covered by employer)
  • Must work on-site – remote work not available
  • Public transportation access available
