Responsibilities for Welder:
The responsibilities for the job of Welders are as following.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Measuring and laying out components accurately
- Performing manual and semi-automatic welding to join metals and materials
- Setting up and aligning components using tools like calipers and rulers
- Testing and inspecting welded surfaces to ensure structural integrity
- Repairing machinery and equipment as needed
- Reporting any damages or equipment malfunctions
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Assisting in the installation of fire protection equipment on construction sites
Requirements for Welder:
The requirements for the job of Welders are as following.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
- Experience with calipers, rulers, clamps, and other precision tools
- Ability to detect flaws or defects in materials and welds
- Familiarity with fire protection systems is an asset (but not required)
- Physically fit and able to work in varied conditions (indoors and outdoors)
Skills and Knowledge Desired:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Safe Food Handling Certificate (or willing to obtain – training support available)
- Willing to relocate (relocation costs covered by employer)
- Must work on-site – remote work not available
- Public transportation access available
