Responsibilities for Packing Operator:

The responsibilities for the job of Packing Operators are as following.

• Operate and monitor packing machinery and production lines
• Work in a temperature-controlled environment (3–6°C)
• Load and unload mushrooms from racks and pallets with care
• Accurately weigh trays and enter data into packing computers
• Weigh, wrap, and prepare orders for pre-packs and bags
• Handle mushrooms gently to ensure product quality
• Perform regular cleaning of workstations and machinery for hygiene and food safety
• Support general operations and assist with team-based tasks

Requirements for Packing Operator:

The requirements for the job of Packing Operators are as following.

• Must be physically fit and capable of lifting up to 15kg
• Comfortable working in cool environments
• Ability to read and interpret scales and numeric data
• Prior packing or factory experience is preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude or interest in production equipment
• Good attendance record and high reliability
• Able to follow food safety and health & safety procedures
• Reliable transport to and from work
• Must currently reside in New Zealand and have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
• Willingness to work long-term (not suitable for short-term or seasonal workers)
