RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils using dishwashers or by hand when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing area, ensuring supplies and also equipment  stocked and in good working condition.
  • Sort, stack, and store clean dishes in also appropriate locations.
  • Assist with kitchen sanitation by cleaning floors, counters, and workstations as required.
  • Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic prep work and minor kitchen tasks as needed.
  • Dispose of trash, recyclables, and compost properly and take out the garbage when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards by following proper sanitation and food safety procedures.
  • Help with the setup and breakdown of the kitchen at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to maintain a smooth, efficient operation.
