Responsibilities for Laundry Attendant:
The responsibilities for the job of Laundry Attendants are as following.
- Operate and monitor washing, drying, and dry-cleaning machines
- Add necessary cleaning chemicals and regularly clean lint traps
- Identify stained or damaged items for spot treatment, rewash, repair, or discard
- Inspect laundered items for cleanliness and organize them in clean linen carts
- Set machine cycles based on fabric types and monitor drying temperatures
- Remove lint and debris from machines after each load
- Fold cleaned articles manually or using folding equipment
- Keep accurate records of laundered items
- Follow all safety and hygiene policies and complete required training
- Support colleagues and assist with other housekeeping tasks when needed
- Move, lift, and transport items weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance
Requirements for Laundry Attendant:
The requirements for the job of Laundry Attendants are as following.
- No formal education or high school diploma required
- No previous work experience needed; training will be provided
- Must be physically able to stand, bend, lift, and move during shifts
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Commitment to cleanliness, safety, and attention to detail
