Responsibilities for Greenhouse Worker:

The responsibilities for the job of Greenhouse Workers Jobs in Canada are as following.

• Weeding and maintaining plant beds
• Spraying or dusting plants with insecticides and fungicides
• Assisting in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants
• Mixing and preparing different types of soil for planting
• Planting bulbs and seeds
• Potting and re-potting plants as needed
• Transplanting seedlings or rooted cuttings
• Applying fertilizers to encourage healthy plant growth
• Reporting any signs of insect or disease damage
• Assisting in grafting activities and digging up rootballs for wrapping
• Watering and tending to plants, lawns, and gardens
• Using jackhammers and drills to break up pavement, when required

Requirements for Greenhouse Worker:

The requirements for the job of Greenhouse Workers are as following.

• Work Term: Permanent
• Language: English
• Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week
• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years preferred
• Setting: Rural area with staff accommodation available
• Relocation: Must be willing to relocate
