Full Job Description

We are looking to hire several Farm Workers to work on our farms in the Rotorua area. Are progressive in our farming practices, have modern facilities & machinery, and good on-farm systems. We are seeking Farm Workers to join our team who have a passion for working with animals and crops, have good communications, and who are keen to progress in the farming industry. You will assist with daily operational tasks as required on farms. This role will a permanent, full-time position and will guaranteed 40 hours of work per week (Maximum hours per week would be 50). Rostered Time off (Double rotation 5 days on / 2 days off; 6 days on / 1 day off). You will paid an hourly rate of $29.66-$30.00 depending on your experience and skill level. Paid fortnightly, 4 weeks annual leave, Statutory holidays, Sick and bereavement leave. Opportunities to upskill.

• Cleaning and maintain the farm plant and equipment and report any faults or failures
• Plant, cultivate and harvest crops and other produce on farms
• Moving and handling animals safely and observe and report on stock wellbeing
• Milking twice a day
• Fencing and weed control
• Moving handling and rearing calves safely
• Pasture and feed allocation
• Effluent spreading and learning how the system runs
• Maintaining the water system and farm irrigation systems
• Safely operating farm vehicles and machinery as needed on farm and assists with basic maintenance
• Be able to follow instructions, communicate, and work as part of a team.

• Confident using computers, smartphones, and other technology, and understands the value of collecting good quality data and how it can used to make decisions

• Have a full driver’s license
