Responsibilities for Farm Assistant:
The responsibilities for the job of Farm Assistants are as following.
- Preparing and maintaining the school’s agricultural plots
- Assisting with crop production and disposal
- Caring for and supervising livestock
- Operating and maintaining farm machinery, tools, and equipment
- Managing the receipt, storage, and organization of supplies
- Supporting farm-based educational activities and demonstrations
- Maintaining biosecurity, hygiene, and safety standards on the farm
- Ensuring a clean, safe, and productive environment for both students and staff
Requirements for Farm Assistant:
The requirements for the job of Farm Assistants are as following.
- Good planning, organizational, and prioritizing skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience or interest in crop production, livestock care, or machinery operation
- The ability to work effectively within an educational or community environment
- A Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance (mandatory for employment)
- A valid proof of identity and compliance with Department employment policies
