As a Company Driver, you will provide relief driving to assist contractors during planned and emergency absences, ensuring smooth operations across the Auckland region. You’ll need to have a clean driver’s license, the ability to confidently drive both automatic and manual vans, and be physically fit for occasional heavy lifting. Full Job Description
The team at New Zealand Couriers are looking for reliable, go-getters to join our delivery team for the Auckland region. This is an opportunity to learn and have exposure to the role of a Courier Driver. Our focus is to develop a pool of relief courier drivers to help support contractors cover their runs in the event of emergency and planned absence.
The Role Includes:
- Relief driving to assist contractors with planned and emergency leave within the Auckland Region.
- Assisting Auckland contractors and branches who require immediate or urgent delivery assistance.
- Provide general operational support
- Provide assistance to the Auckland Courier training team
The Ideal Applicant Will:
- Have a can-do attitude – ready to help out
- Be able to confidently drive any type of van – both automatic and manual transmission.
- Have a clean, full driver’s license.
- Be physically fit – some heavy lifting may be required (up to 25kg)
- Be a quick learner, with the ability to adapt to fast paced courier runs.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
