Responsibilities for Caregiver:

The responsibilities for the job of Caregivers are as following.

• Provide high-quality care and support to residents with compassion, patience, and respect.
• Assist residents with daily living activities including personal care, mobility, and meal support.
• Foster a safe, welcoming, and caring environment for residents and their families.
• Support residents living with dementia in a respectful and empathetic manner.
• Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards in all caregiving activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure residents receive holistic and consistent care.

Requirements for Caregiver:

The requirements for the job of Caregivers are as following.

• Proven experience in caregiving, preferably in an aged care environment.
• Minimum NZQA Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent New Zealand/overseas qualification (e.g. Nursing Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing).
• Dementia care experience is desirable.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Genuine compassion, patience, and a positive, friendly attitude.
• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.

Skills and Knowledge Desired:

• Empathy and a caring nature.
• Ability to build strong relationships with residents and their families.
• Team collaboration and adaptability to various shifts (AM, PM, night, weekends).
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality care.
