Responsibilities for Bookkeeper:

The responsibilities for the job of Bookkeepers are as following.

  • Maintain accurate financial records using Xero Accounting Software.
  • Process journal entries and allocate expenses to correct ledger codes.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct banking and bank reconciliations, verifying balances regularly.
  • Prepare financial reports including balance sheets, profit & loss, and cash flow statements.
  • Compile, analyze, and compare updated financial data with previous reports.
  • Manage payroll processes, including PAYE, using Xero Payroll.
  • Prepare invoices, bills, and reconcile accounts promptly.
  • Verify recorded transactions, report discrepancies, and ensure compliance.
  • Support management with general accounting and bookkeeping tasks.

Requirements for Bookkeeper:

The requirements for the job of Bookkeepers are as following.

  • Relevant accounting qualification OR 2–3 years of work experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency with Xero Accounting & Payroll (training will be provided if needed).
  • Competent computer skills, especially in MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional, motivated, and reliable.

Skills and Knowledge Desired:

  • Accounting and payroll expertise (Xero preferred).
