Ashfords is seeking a skilled and motivated Bookkeeper to join our growing team in Dandenong, Victoria. Responsibilities
- Provide financial guidance and support to internal teams to deliver outstanding client outcomes
- Train clients in accounting software through onsite and virtual sessions
- Prepare and present financial reports for clients
- Attend board of management meetings as required
- Identify, implement, and improve systems and processes
- Process payroll, including leave adjustments, superannuation contributions, PAYGW, payroll tax, and WorkCover remuneration
- Support clients and troubleshoot issues via phone and other communication channels
Requirements
- Excellent management and people skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Proven practical experience using Xero and MYOB (Xero preferred)
- Higher education qualification in Accounting or Bookkeeping
- Comprehensive understanding of debits and credits
- Experience with Xero add-on products such as Dext, Hubdoc, Shopify, and Xero Tax (highly desirable)
- Minimum of 2–3 years of bookkeeping experience, ideally within public practice
