Responsibilities
- Coordinate, assign, and supervise the work of livestock workers, machinery operators, and farm labourers
- Support breeding and livestock-related programs
- Supervise crop-related operations, including grains and harvesting
- Tap trees in various weather conditions
- Move products during winter months and prepare items for shipment
- Ensure farm cleanliness and proper care of equipment
- Supervise maintenance of farm infrastructure, equipment, and supplies
- Monitor and enforce procedures to maintain animal and crop health and welfare
- Follow and enforce farm safety procedures
- Perform general farm duties as required
Requirements
- Punctual with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working around small animals
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Willing to work evenings and weekends when required
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Driver’s licence is an asset
- Ability to operate farm machinery is an asset
- Mechanical inclination is an asset
