Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize office areas, meeting rooms, corridors, stairwells, and common spaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste following shipboard and environmental protocols
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass partitions
- Dust and wipe office furniture, cabins, fixtures, and equipment
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, railings, and shared equipment
- Replenish cleaning supplies and toiletries in restrooms, cabins, and pantries
- Report maintenance issues such as leaks or damaged furniture to the appropriate department
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including MARPOL standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in janitorial or housekeeping roles (shipboard experience preferred)
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, tools, and safe handling procedures
- Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules
- Physically fit to work in a moving vessel environment
- STCW Basic Safety Certification
- Seafarer’s Medical Certificate
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail
