Responsibilities
As a Caregiver at Brookhaven Retirement Village, you will:
- Provide high-quality care to residents with compassion, kindness, and patience.
- Assist residents with daily living activities while maintaining their dignity.
- Support residents in a warm, caring, and safe environment.
- Contribute to a positive atmosphere by engaging with residents and making them feel valued.
- Work shifts as needed, including AM, PM, and weekend shifts on a casual, as-required basis.
Requirements
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Proven experience caring for others, ideally within an aged care environment.
- Minimum NZQA Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent New Zealand or overseas qualification (e.g., Bachelor or Diploma in Nursing).
- At least one year of caregiving experience or experience in a related field.
- Experience in dementia care or a similar specialised area.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand (visa support may not be available).
