Responsibilities for Senior Agricultural Engineer:

The responsibilities for the job of Senior Agricultural Engineers are as following.

• Supervise and manage the implementation of landscaping, irrigation, and agricultural engineering works on site.
• Review design drawings, materials, and methods to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Oversee planting techniques, soil preparation, and horticultural maintenance.
• Inspect and monitor irrigation networks, including pumps, valves, and distribution systems.
• Coordinate with contractors and ensure that all work meets safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Liaise with local authorities (Ashghal, MoM, Kahramaa, etc.) to ensure all approvals and inspections are in place.
• Conduct site meetings and provide technical guidance to the project team.
• Prepare progress reports and monitor project schedules and budgets.
• Ensure sustainability practices and innovative agricultural solutions are implemented.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and site inspectors.

Requirements for Senior Agricultural Engineer:

The requirements for the job of Senior Agricultural Engineers are as following.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture, or Landscape Engineering.
• Minimum 14 years of professional experience, including 7 years in supervision of major agricultural or landscaping projects (preferably in the Middle East).
• UPDA Grade A or B certification is mandatory.

Skills and Knowledge Desired:

• Strong knowledge of horticultural practices, soil improvement, planting methods, and irrigation systems.
• Familiarity with Ashghal, Kahramaa, and MoM standards and procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software.
• Ability to lead teams and ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.
