Responsibilities for Receptionist:

The responsibilities for the job of Receptionists are as following.

  • Serve as the central communication hub for the lodge, handling guest correspondence and inquiries.
  • Collate guest accounts, balance daily audits, and process reservations.
  • Answer telephones professionally and manage email communications.
  • Assist guests with activities, bookings, and special requests.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the front office department.
  • Support the wider team with administrative duties to maintain efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Requirements for Receptionist:

The requirements for the job of Receptionists are as following.

  • Previous experience in a receptionist or front office role, preferably in luxury hospitality.
  • Confident, professional telephone manner and excellent communication skills.
  • Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized under pressure.
  • High attention to detail with exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Immaculate presentation and genuine warmth in guest interactions.
  • Familiarity with OPERA Cloud or similar reservation systems (advantageous but not essential).
  • A valid working holiday visa or New Zealand work rights.
  • Reliable personal transport due to the lodge’s remote location.
