Farm Assistant Jobs Full Description

• Assisting with feeding livestock and maintaining livestock health.

• Helping with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops.

• Operating farming machinery and equipment, such as tractors and irrigation systems.

• Maintaining farm buildings, equipment, and fencing.

• Assisting with general farm duties, such as maintenance of the property and upkeep of supplies.

• Adhering to safety protocols and regulations in all farming activities.

Skills We Are Looking For:

• No prior experience required – training will be provided. However, some knowledge of dairy farming or a related field is an advantage.

• The ability to operate machinery is preferred, but not essential.

• Hand and power tool experience is preferred, but not essential.

• A restricted, manual driver’s license is essential.

• Confident organisation and time management skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to discuss any issues.

• The ability to work independently and in a team.

• Motivated and able to be forward-thinking.

• Patient and caring with animals.

• A good attitude and willingness to learn.
